Nordica Invoices by Variegata Nordica · Updated 1 November 2026
Who we are
Nordica Invoices is a Shopify app made by Variegata Nordica (Mallory Berthomé) that issues invoices, credit notes and packing slips for a store’s orders. Questions about this policy or your data: hello@nordica-apps.com.
What the app stores
- Your store’s address and Shopify access, so the app can open in your Shopify admin.
- Your business details you enter (name, address, VAT number, bank details) and your layouts and rules.
- The invoices and credit notes it issues: what is printed on them (the buyer’s name, company, address, VAT number and the items bought) and the PDF file. This is the store’s own accounting record.
- VAT number checks: the answer of the EU’s VIES service for a VAT number, kept 24 hours.
- Messages you send with “Contact support” or “Suggest an improvement”, and the email address if you add one.
- Technical error reports: your store’s address, the page and the error, so problems can be fixed.
Orders are read from Shopify when a document is made. No customer list, no browsing data, no payment details are stored.
Who processes the data
Cloudflare hosts the app, its database and the PDF files (in the EU and elsewhere, under Cloudflare’s data processing terms). The European Commission’s VIES service checks VAT numbers. Shopify provides the store data and handles billing. Nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
How long it is kept
Invoices and credit notes are kept while the app is installed, because sellers must keep them (EU VAT Directive, and 5 years under the Danish Bookkeeping Act); download them before uninstalling. A customer’s request to be erased doesn’t remove issued invoices, which the law requires the store to keep (GDPR Article 17(3)(b)). When you uninstall, your sign-in data is deleted at once; 48 hours later, when Shopify asks for the store’s data to be erased, everything is deleted, PDFs included.
A tool, not legal advice
The app follows the EU VAT rules as we understand them. Check with your accountant for your own case.
Your rights
Email hello@nordica-apps.com to see, correct or delete the data held about your store. Customers of a store should contact that store first: it decides what its invoices contain.
