Common questions
A customer cancelled. Why doesn’t the invoice change?
In the EU an issued invoice can’t be changed or deleted. The app issues a credit note instead, with its own number, that refers to the invoice. Together they show exactly what happened, which is what your accountant and the tax office expect.
Are the numbers really without gaps?
Yes. A number is taken in the same database step that stores the invoice, so a number never exists without its invoice. Invoices and credit notes each have their own series, and a new one each year if you like.
Why does an invoice wait for me?
When something is off for EU VAT, for example no VAT was charged but the customer has no valid EU VAT number, the app asks you first. Nothing gets a number until you press Issue anyway or Skip.
Which prices are on the invoice?
Exactly what the customer paid: the order’s own prices, discounts, shipping and VAT. Changing a product’s price later never changes an invoice.
How do customers get their invoice?
An Invoice button on their order page in their Shopify account (stores with the new customer accounts). You place it once: Settings → Checkout → Customize, open the order page and add the Invoice block. Shopify’s order emails link there. You can also download any invoice in the app, or send it on with Shopify Flow to Klaviyo, Slack or your email app. The app sends no emails itself.
Can resellers and retail customers get different invoices?
Yes. In “Who gets what”, business customers (B2B companies or a tag such as wholesale) can get a business invoice with net 30 and your bank details, in Danish, as soon as they order; everyone else a simple receipt in Danish or English when they pay, or nothing.
Is this legal advice?
No. The app is a tool that follows the EU VAT rules as we understand them. Check with your accountant for your own case.
What does it cost?
Free covers 60 invoices and credit notes a month with every feature. Pro is one flat price for unlimited documents: no fees per order or per document. Packing slips are never counted.
